In 1971, after four years of service in the U. S. Army, I enrolled in the University of West Florida at Pensacola, paying my way with G. I. Bill money. In order to gain some accounting experience and stretch the money a little, I entered a Cooperative Education program sponsored by the University. In this program I studied at the University for a quarter (they used a quarter term, not the semester), and then worked in the accounting department at the Air Force Armaments Testing Lab (AFATL) at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) for a quarter.

During the Katrina evacuation from the Superdome in New Orleans, thousands of people were pushed up against barricades trying to get a seat on a bus that would take them out of a hell hole. Amongst the pushing bodies a little boy held on to a small dog. The were both frightened, hungry and thirsty. Hope abounded when the busses finally started trickling in. Then adroitly a police officer confiscated the little boy's dog. Dogs are not allowed on the bus. As the dog was pried from his hands the child squealed in anguish "Snowball, Snowball.. " and was so overcome with grief he vomited.

Except your first and last name there is another question that you have to answer. Denote your sex: male or female. Nowadays this is an obligatory question to answer only because some peculiarities need to be clarified. No discrimination here. Finally we have social equality. Both men and women have equal rights. But discrimination can still be observed.

Abuse of our environment arises from actions that cannot be sustained by nature. For instance, if 3 trees are felled in order to make way for a new house, then nature has lost three trees and any offspring forever. This is not sustainable.
